U.Today – Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of the second largest blockchain platform, has recently made another transfer of ETH. According to a recent post by the @lookonchain account, which tracks “Smart Money” wallets and large crypto addresses, the destination of this transaction is likely the Bitstamp exchange.

Buterin has been moving ETH to exchanges from his address quite frequently, sparking speculation about the purpose of these transfers. This time, he moved 1,000 ETH (worth approximately $1.64 million) to the exchange. In the past two months, Buterin has sent a total of 4,400 ETH (over $7 million) to Bitstamp, as reported by the same source.

Withdrawal of 110,000 ETH from exchanges

As reported by on-chain data aggregator Santiment, unknown whales recently withdrew a massive 110,000 ETH from centralized exchanges. This is the largest withdrawal of Ethereum from exchanges since September 21. The total supply of Ethereum held by exchanges is now at its lowest level in over 5.5 years, while the non-exchange ETH supply has reached an all-time high of 115.88 million ETH, according to Santiment data.

Ethereum’s price recovery

After experiencing a dip of 1.66% on Thursday, Ethereum has managed to recover and rise back to the $1,639 price mark. At the time of writing, it continues to be traded at this level.
