Cryptocurrency Platform TradeStation Crypto Settles with SEC and States for Unregistered Product
TradeStation Crypto Settles for $3 Million
Cryptocurrency platform TradeStation Crypto has agreed to pay $3 million to resolve allegations from the U.S. securities regulator and various states that it sold unregistered securities through an interest-earning program.
Unregistered Crypto Lending Product
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, TradeStation failed to register its crypto lending product, which allowed U.S. investors to deposit or purchase assets on the platform in exchange for yield. The product was offered to customers in 2020 and ceased operations in 2022.
TradeStation’s unregistered securities offering has resulted in a $3 million settlement with the U.S. securities regulator and multiple states.
